Designed at CommScope Labs, the solution has a 50 percent increase in usable density, allowing for more cabinet and shelf space. At the heart of the SYSTIMAX 360 UHD solution is a 1U sliding shelf that accepts three Ultra High Density Modules with either 24 duplex LCs or 24 MPOs. With the ability to fit 864 fibers in a 1U space, the shelf provides the highest fiber-patching density available. This compact shelf allows data centers to use a single cabinet to house both SAN Directors and fiber cabling, a cost-saving innovation that more than doubles data center rack and storage networking space.
